We collect the minimum data needed to get your ticket to you and keep the platform running — nothing more, and we never sell it.
This policy explains what personal data ATribe Tickets collects when you browse, buy tickets, or manage events on our platform, and how we use, store, and protect it — in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA/NDPR).
When you buy a ticket, we collect your name, email, and phone number. If you create an organizer or curator account, we also collect your bank account details for payouts. We automatically collect basic technical data — like your device type and IP address — to keep the platform secure and working properly.
We use your data to process ticket purchases, send your ticket and QR code by email, communicate updates about events you've bought tickets for, pay out organizer and curator earnings, and prevent fraud. We don't sell your personal data to third parties.
At checkout, you can choose whether to share your name, email, and phone with the event organizer for ticketing and event communication. This is optional and separate from accepting our Terms — if you leave it unchecked, only ATribe Tickets holds your buyer details, not the organizer.
We use Paystack to process payments securely — we don't store your card details ourselves. We use email service providers to deliver your ticket and QR code. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their specific service for you.
We keep transaction and ticket records for as long as needed to resolve disputes, meet accounting obligations, and comply with Nigerian law. You can request deletion of your account data at any time, subject to records we're legally required to keep.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections, request deletion, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent you've previously given. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and secure password storage — to protect your data. No system is completely immune to risk, but we work to keep your information safe and limit access to it internally.
We use basic cookies and local storage to keep you logged in, remember items in your cart during checkout, and understand how the platform is used. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.
ATribe Tickets is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll remove it.
We may update this policy as our platform evolves or as Nigerian data protection law changes. We'll update the date below whenever we do.
